OMC cobra 3.0L

jme	Hi recently purchased this boat and it has an OMC Cobra3.0L (4 cyl GM).. its runs good, no problems I can see.. but I did notice a water drip coming from the bottom side of the manifold. i couldnt tell where exactly ( couldnt get my head in under it and didn't have a mirror) but its drips a drop every 5 seconds or so.. is this something I should be concerned about. i took the boat out the day I bought it to see how it ran and next week I went through a good tuneup, when changing the oil it did have water in it! I thought it may have come from a leak under the outdrive that was leaking into the boat and the water level got pretty high, high enough to reach the oil drain and I thought it may have gotten in that way..( didn't check it while running and forgot to turn on bildge). I've had it out a 3/4 times since then and haven't seen any water in oil.. but I'm still concerned about the drip.. tks jim	2002-08-12
Boatist	If it drips every five seconds your just going to have to get a mirrow or some other way to see where it is coming from. There is a water drain on the bottom side to drain manifold to prevent frezzing in winter. If it a saltwater boat could be rusted thru. Good luck	2002-08-13
